Bourbon Infused Pears, Glazed with Maple Syrup

The name caught you, didn’t it? So will this recipe. Take 30 minutes out of your day to make this dessert, and leave the room confidently flipping your hair off your shoulder, as your guests indulge.

Yields: 4 pear halves

Ingredients:

2 D’Anjou Pears

3 Tablespoons Salted Butter

4 Tablespoons Maple Syrup

Chopped Pecans

2 Oz. Bourbon

Powdered Sugar

How to:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

  2. Wash, and cut pears in half

  3. Heat the butter in a large skillet with medium heat

  4. Spoon out seeds and core in each half

  5. Place pears face down in skillet, and let simmer for 5 minutes

  6. While they are simmering, mix your bourbon and maple syrup in a separate bowl

  7. Put the entire skillet in the oven for 15 minutes

  8. Flip the pears over, round side down and let cook for another 10 minutes

  9. Take the skillet out, and plate your pears

  10. Drizzle the bourbon/maple glaze over the pears on the plate

  11. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on the pears

  12. Top everything with a light coat of powdered sugar

  13. Enjoy and indulge
